Who this meeting is for

This consultation is designed for an international professional who already holds a German residence title for employment and is considering or has accepted a different job. It is particularly useful when your residence card, EU Blue Card, Zusatzblatt, or approval letter refers to an employer, occupation, salary, or time restriction.

It is not an application filing service, legal representation, or a guarantee that an authority will approve a change. We do not contact the Ausländerbehörde on your behalf within this session.

What we review together

Before the meeting, you may securely prepare copies of your residence card, supplementary sheet, current contract, new offer or draft contract, job description, qualification evidence, and any recent correspondence from the immigration authority. Do not send passport scans or unrelated personal records through the contact form.

During 75 minutes, we:

  • identify the wording that currently governs your employment;
  • compare your existing role with the new employer, title, duties, salary, hours, and location;
  • discuss how the first 12 months of an EU Blue Card can differ from later changes;
  • distinguish an obligation to notify from a need to seek approval;
  • prepare a practical list of documents and questions for the competent authority;
  • consider notice period, planned start date, and a cautious transition sequence.

The result

Within one business day, you receive a concise written action note recording the facts discussed, open questions, suggested document list, and recommended order of contact. The note is practical guidance, not a formal legal opinion.

Before booking

Your city of residence matters because local processing routes and appointment practices vary. Complex cases involving dismissal, a lapse in residence status, family-member rights, self-employment, criminal proceedings, or an urgent court deadline should be directed to a qualified German immigration lawyer.

Next step

Describe your permit and proposed job change. We will confirm whether the consultation fits before proposing a time.
